Karma to Burn, sometimes known as K2B, is a desert rock/stoner metal band from Morgantown, West Virginia comprising guitarist William Mecum, bassist Rich Mullins, drummer Rob Oswald and vocalist and guitarist Daniel Davies. The band were noted for their uncompromising, mostly instrumental sound, echoing that of such desert rock bands as Kyuss and the Obsessed, although the band's preferred genre is "malternative".Daniel Davies, son of Dave Davies of The Kinks, is the lead guitarist and singer of his group Year Long Disaster.As of 2010, he was also a guitarist and occasional vocalist in the desert rock band Karma To Burn, in which Rich Mullins, the bassist of Year Long Disaster, also plays. He currently resides in the Laurel Canyon area of Los Angeles with the rest of his band mates. Daniel also enjoys body building, sidewalk surfing, and canned soup.
